Product of India.
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare, 'saunf' in Hindi) is a highly aromatic herb, of which the entire plant is edible.
It is grown and used all over the world, prized for both its medicinal and culinary benefits.
Traditionally used for:
- promoting and soothing digestion
- treating colic and increasing breastmilk
- relieving coughs
- reducing water retention
- freshening breath
We use fennel for its digestive properties, natural sweetness and deliciously nutty liquorice flavour. It is subtle enough not to overpower, and its small size blends perfectly with tea.
