Tulsi (Ocimum tenuiflorum) is cultivated across the whole of India as a spiritual and medicinal plant, where it is known as the Queen of Herbs and is revered as the elixir of life. It has a complex peppery flavour and makes a lovely tea on its own or blended with other herbs and spices.
